What actually creates the price gap
Five things account for most of the difference between one quote and another.
Shot count. A cartridge is a consumable with a counted number of shots, so every shot placed on your face is a real cost to the studio. Three hundred shots and six hundred shots cannot sit at the same price.

Session length. Placing lines slowly and evenly takes time, and an hour of a practitioner's time costs more than twenty minutes of it. You can feel that difference while you are on the bed.
Who performs the session. Experience shows in how energy is distributed near the eyes, along the jawline and under the chin — and in knowing when to place fewer lines rather than more.
Whether you are assessed first. Looking at skin thickness, laxity and what you actually want to change takes time as well, and it is what decides how the shots are divided in the first place.
None of these five is visible on a banner, which is why two numbers on two price lists can look like the same thing and describe two very different afternoons.
What shot count and depth say about an Ultraformer MPT session

A low price is not automatically a poor session. It does mean something has been reduced, and it helps to know what that something usually is.
Fewer shots than the number quoted. The quickest way to lower a price is to lower the shot count, so it is worth asking for the total and the split by area, not only the package name.
A faster session. Lines placed quickly are placed less evenly, and the difference tends to show up as an uneven result rather than as a bad one.
One depth for the whole face. Using a single cartridge everywhere saves time and consumables, but the forehead and the jawline do not respond to the same depth.
No follow-up. HIFU builds gradually over weeks, so a session without aftercare guidance or a check-in leaves you with no one to ask when you are not sure what you are seeing.

A studio that answers these calmly and specifically is usually a studio that has done this often. If one quote sits far below the rest, the useful question is not whether it is too good to be true, but which of these six answers changes. It can be, if you know what has been reduced and you are comfortable with it. In our experience the reduction is most often shot count, session length or the number of depths used, and the result tends to be less even rather than absent. What matters is that the trade is stated rather than discovered afterwards.
How many shots does one session need?
It depends on how many areas you are working on and how thick the skin is over them. A single area such as the jawline or under the chin needs far fewer shots than a full face with the neck. How do I know I am receiving the shots I paid for?
Ask for the total and the split by area before the session starts, and ask for it to be confirmed out loud as each area is finished. A studio that plans a session this way will have the numbers ready, and you are entitled to hear them.
Does a higher price mean a stronger session?
Not in the way people expect. More accurate depth, steadier energy and finer control let a practitioner work at sensible settings and still tighten evenly. We never run at maximum energy. Precision, not power, is what gives a natural result and keeps the session comfortable.
