Underarm hair usually fits that description: dark, coarse, and growing in a small, dense area. The tip of the Diode laser is cooled and stays in contact with the skin, taking away most of the heat at the surface. Most clients describe it as warm, quick snaps, like a light rubber band. It feels a little stronger in the first sessions, when the hair is still dense, and lighter as the hair thins.
The energy level is not fixed, so if any spot feels too strong, just say so and it will be adjusted.

Which package to choose
- 1 session — you want to try it first, or just need a clean look before an event.
- 6 sessions — the main part of the course. For most women, underarm hair is clearly thinner after six.
- 10 sessions — thick hair, men's underarm hair, or you want to finish the full course. It is the lowest price per session.
- Underarms + Upper Lip combo — if you also want the upper lip done. It costs the same as the underarm package with the same number of sessions.
How Many Sessions, and How Far Apart
Most clients need 6 to 10 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Many people notice that hair is clearly thinner and grows back more slowly after about three or four sessions.
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only affects hair that is in its active growing phase. The hair that is "resting" will come through in the following weeks, so the next session takes care of it. Booking closer than four weeks apart does not speed things up, because the new hair has not grown in yet.
The exact number depends on hair thickness, hair colour, hormones and your own body. Men's underarm hair is usually thicker, so it may take close to 10 sessions. After the course, some people come back for a maintenance session a few months later if a few hairs return.
Shaving, Plucking, Waxing, Cream or Laser
Shaving is quick and painless, but hair is back in a day or two and often leaves stubble. Plucking and waxing last longer, but each time they pull on thin underarm skin that already rubs against clothing all day, which often leads to bumps and ingrown hairs. Hair removal cream is painless but can sting on sensitive underarm skin.

Will Laser Help With Dark Underarms?
The honest answer: laser does not lighten skin, and Hugo Beauty does not promise brighter underarms after the course.
But dark underarms usually do not come from the hair itself. They come from what happens around it again and again: close shaving, plucking, waxing, tight clothes rubbing, and deodorant on skin that is already irritated. When you no longer need to shave or pluck so often, the skin gets more rest. Many clients find their underarms look more even and smoother over time, partly because dark stubble under the skin is no longer visible.
If your underarm skin is already darker, the specialist will check it first and adjust the energy level. Darker skin needs a gentler setting, and it can still be done.
Less Hair, Less Sweat and Odour?
Underarm hair holds on to sweat and moisture. As it thins, the area stays drier, is easier to keep clean, and deodorant sits directly on the skin. In Saigon's heat and humidity, this is often the first thing clients notice.
Still, laser hair removal is not a way to deal with body odour, and it does not replace deodorant. Odour comes from sweat and bacteria on the skin. The hair only holds on to them. Think of feeling drier as a side benefit, not the main reason to book.

Who It Suits, and When to Wait
Underarm laser hair removal suits most people with dark hair, including those with sensitive skin. The specialist works more gently and watches how your skin reacts throughout the session.
Please postpone your session if you:
are pregnant;
have scratches, irritation or a rash on the underarms;
have had sunburn in the last two weeks;
have recently plucked or waxed, and the hair has not grown back yet.
One thing to know in advance: very light, grey or very fine hair has little pigment, so laser has little effect on it. If your underarm hair is like this, the specialist will tell you at the first visit, so you do not pay for a result that is unlikely.

Aftercare
Right after the session, the skin may look slightly red and feel warm. This usually settles within a few hours.
No deodorant until the next morning.
Avoid very hot showers, saunas and heavy, sweaty workouts for the first 24–48 hours.
Do not scrub or exfoliate the underarms for a few days.
Do not pluck during the course. If hair grows back between sessions, just shave.
After about 1–2 weeks, some hairs will fall out on their own. This is normal, so let them shed naturally.

Will the hair grow back?
After the course, hair is clearly thinner and finer, but a few hairs may return over time because of hormones and your own body. That is why we do not call it "permanent". Some clients need a maintenance session a few months later.
Does it hurt?
Most clients feel warmth and quick snaps, like a light rubber band. The cooled tip stays on the skin, so it is much more comfortable than waxing. If any spot feels strong, just say so and the energy will be adjusted.
Is it safe for the underarms?
The laser only affects the hair and the follicle in the upper layers of the skin. Mild redness for a few hours is common. To keep irritation low, follow the prep and aftercare steps, and postpone if your skin is scratched or sunburnt, or if you are pregnant.
Will it get rid of dark underarms?
